Trendspek Secures Four Essential Certifications in Response to Rising AI Threats

Compliance certifications are becoming increasingly vital for technology companies as they navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence-generated cybersecurity threats. By 2025, the technology sector is witnessing widespread adoption of generative artificial intelligence, with many large enterprises integrating AI into their daily operations. However, this advancement is accompanied by sophisticated cybersecurity threats that leverage AI capabilities, presenting new challenges for detection and response. Reports from CyberSecurityNews indicate a significant rise in AI-supported social engineering attacks, including deepfakes and voice cloning, which enable attackers to convincingly impersonate company executives. These tactics can bypass traditional verification processes, increasing the risk of misleading employees and compromising confidential information. Furthermore, the emergence of generative AI tools has facilitated the creation of automated malware, enhancing the stealth and efficiency of cyber-attacks. The anticipated rise of quantum computing technologies also threatens to render traditional encryption methods obsolete, placing sensitive business data at greater risk.

In response to these escalating challenges, compliance standards such as SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO certifications are gaining prominence across the industry. These standards serve as benchmarks for best practices in information security, privacy, and operational quality, providing assurance to clients and partners amid rising threats. Trendspek, a Sydney-based provider of 3D Structural Lifecycle Management software, has prioritised compliance protocols since its founding in 2018. The company has conducted annual audits of its platform and processes to uphold internationally recognised compliance standards. Notably, Trendspek is among the first in its sector to achieve ISO 27701 certification, focusing on privacy and data protection. Its latest recertification encompasses SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and ISO 9001 standards, covering security, privacy, and quality management. This achievement positions Trendspek as the first Australian company in its class to hold all four certifications. Mitch Deam, Co-Founder and Chief Compliance Officer at Trendspek, emphasises that the re-attestation is more than a compliance measure; it reflects the company’s commitment to embedding security at the core of its operations, decision-making, and customer service. The renewed SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, first achieved in May 2024, demonstrates that security practices are not only maintained but also capable of evolving over time.
