SonicWall Launches Gen 8 Platform Featuring Advanced Firewalls and $200,000 Warranty
SonicWall has launched its Generation 8 cybersecurity platform, introducing nine new firewall models tailored for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). This new portfolio features built-in Zero Trust capabilities, an embedded cyber warranty, and enhanced unified cloud management, all designed to assist partners in delivering scalable cybersecurity solutions. The lineup includes eight firewall models, from the compact TZ280 to the enterprise-focused NSa 5800, catering to various environments such as small offices, distributed networks, and mid-sized enterprises. Each model is managed via the SonicWall Unified Management cloud platform and incorporates the latest SonicOS enhancements. Additionally, SonicWall has unveiled the industry’s first embedded cyber warranty, offering up to USD $200,000 coverage for each managed firewall as part of the Managed Protection Security Suite (MPSS), along with options for 24/7 co-managed security services supported by SonicSentry’s team of professionals.
The Generation 8 update signifies a shift in SonicWall’s approach, moving beyond hardware to promote an integrated platform that combines appliances, software, managed services, and flexible billing. This unified platform is supported by extensive third-party integrations, enabling partners to scale and secure diverse network and cloud environments. SonicWall Unified Management provides a single cloud console for overseeing firewalls, network policies, access controls, and accounts, thereby reducing operational complexity in multi-tenant networks. Each firewall is embedded with SonicWall’s Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), offering built-in licenses for secure remote access without additional costs. The platform also includes co-managed security services such as real-time monitoring, patching, and monthly reporting.
