Palo Alto Networks Unveils Quantum-Ready AI Security Suite for Enhanced Cybersecurity Solutions

Palo Alto Networks has unveiled new security solutions designed to help enterprises mitigate risks associated with quantum computing, multicloud strategies, and artificial intelligence. The company has enhanced its network security platform, focusing on quantum readiness, simplified cloud network security, and expanded artificial intelligence capabilities. These updates are accessible to all customers using the latest version of the company’s software. The latest release features a Quantum Readiness Dashboard, providing organisations with visibility into their cryptographic posture. It also introduces the industry’s first cipher translation, enabling applications to upgrade to quantum-safe encryption, even if they do not natively support such standards. Furthermore, 14 new models of fifth-generation Next-Generation Firewalls have been launched, specifically engineered to efficiently handle post-quantum cryptography.

In addressing the complexities of multicloud and AI landscapes, the updated suite includes a cloud network and AI risk assessment tool. This tool continuously identifies risks for cloud and AI assets, pinpointing areas with weak or missing controls, thus allowing organisations to make informed decisions to enhance their security posture. Firewalls and Prisma AIRS instances can now be deployed automatically, streamlining the security of organisations’ multicloud environments. The management of these deployments is centralised in the updated Strata Cloud Manager, which facilitates automated security deployment and scalable protections on demand. Industry experts, such as Pete Finalle from IDC, highlight the urgent need for quantum readiness amid the proliferation of multicloud environments and rapid advancements in AI, emphasising the fragmented security landscape that modern enterprises must navigate.
