Nutanix Recognized as a Challenger in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Solutions
Nutanix has been recognised as a Challenger in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Management for the first time. This recognition follows the introduction of the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) last year, after the acquisition and integration of the D2iQ Kubernetes Platform. The NKP solution serves as an enterprise option for managing cloud-native applications across a variety of environments, including private data centres, edge locations, and public clouds. With the NKP platform, Nutanix enables its customers to operate both modern and traditional applications on a unified platform, supporting virtualised underlays, bare metal, or public cloud Kubernetes environments. This approach is designed to meet customers’ needs for deploying, managing, and scaling various application types across hybrid and multicloud infrastructures.
Lee Caswell, Senior Vice President of Product and Solutions Marketing at Nutanix, expressed delight at the company’s inclusion in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. He stated that this recognition is a testament to Nutanix’s relentless focus on product innovation and customer success. The open and complete NKP solution complements the existing portfolio both architecturally and in go-to-market execution, providing customers with a seamless path to modernise their applications while simplifying operations across hybrid multicloud environments. Nutanix developed the NKP platform to deliver a production-ready solution that supports container management in complex and hybridised IT environments. Among the customers leveraging the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform are financial institutions like Karnataka Bank in India, which runs critical applications on the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP). These applications include mobile and internet banking, fraud and risk management systems, and a digital currency application required by the Reserve Bank of India.
