KnowBe4 Unveils Free Arcade-Themed Security Awareness Kit for Cybersecurity Month
KnowBe4 has launched a complimentary arcade-themed Cybersecurity Awareness Month toolkit to align with the 2025 theme, “Secure Our World.” Cybersecurity Awareness Month, established in 2004 through a collaboration between the US Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance, aims to encourage organisations globally to enhance their security culture through awareness and education. This year’s campaign focuses on straightforward and effective cybersecurity practices, such as adopting strong passwords, enabling non-phishable multifactor authentication (MFA), recognising and reporting phishing attempts, and maintaining up-to-date software. The resource kit includes a variety of materials and activities, all available free of charge, to assist individuals and organisations in supporting the security awareness campaign.
The arcade-themed kit features components like four “Arcade Villain” character cards that depict common cybersecurity threats as retro eight-bit-style adversaries. It also offers training modules, including “Insights From a Hacker” and “AI, Phishing, and Cybersafety,” accessible in up to 36 languages. Additional materials include ready-to-use posters and digital signage for both physical office environments and remote workplaces, along with a comprehensive Weekly Planner to help organisations structure their activities throughout October. Erich Kron, Security Awareness Advocate at KnowBe4, emphasises the importance of human risk management in cybersecurity, stating that empowering employees with knowledge not only protects data but also contributes to the broader goal of securing the digital world.
