HamiltonJet implements Fortude Fortest to enhance ERP automation and improve SEO.

HamiltonJet has selected Fortude to assist in its transition to new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems by adopting automated regression testing. The company, renowned for its waterjet propulsion systems, is implementing Fortest, Fortude’s automated regression testing platform, as part of its ongoing shift towards Infor M3 and a broader digital transformation agenda. This decision aligns with industry trends noted in the Deloitte Manufacturing Industry Outlook 2025, which indicates that nearly 70% of manufacturers plan to accelerate digital transformation in the coming year, with ERP modernisation as their primary strategic focus. As HamiltonJet frequently updates its ERP due to Infor’s continuous delivery approach, it recognised the need for a faster, more scalable method to test critical processes affecting finance, supply chains, manufacturing, and aftermarket services. Manual testing had become a bottleneck, hindering timely updates and increasing pressure on employees.

Dominic Feran, ERP Manager at HamiltonJet, expressed the organisation’s objectives for the project, stating, “We want to reduce our reliance on manual testing while maintaining confidence during every M3 release.” With Fortest, the company aims to reduce testing time, expand coverage to include complex integrations, and allow business users to focus on higher-value initiatives. Fortest features prebuilt test libraries for Infor M3 modules, enabling users without technical backgrounds to create, manage, and execute tests. The platform provides end-to-end process coverage, including key workflows such as quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay, along with intelligent change impact analysis to optimise testing priorities. Cameron Greening, Chief Revenue Officer – ANZ at Fortude, highlighted the significance of automated testing for global operations, stating that it is essential for businesses like HamiltonJet that rely on frequent ERP updates. Fortest is designed for use across various sectors, including manufacturing, food and beverage, fashion, distribution, chemicals, and field services. It can be deployed with any ERP system and is intended to be managed by the business, reducing reliance on technical teams. This approach aims to expedite the upgrade process, mitigate project risk, and enhance operational agility. In addition to its compatibility with Infor M3, Fortest also supports Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other ERP systems, facilitating accelerated testing cycles and expanded validation coverage.
