Google is introducing a “Projects” feature to Gemini to facilitate research tasks aimed at improving SEO.

Google’s Gemini is currently testing a new feature called “Projects,” which is designed to function similarly to OpenAI’s Project Feature for ChatGPT. With Projects, users can upload files, documents, or code, allowing Gemini to reference these materials during project conversations. Google describes this feature as a way to “start by adding files to the project,” enabling Gemini to utilise these files to generate new documents and code. This functionality allows users to group similar tasks together, effectively creating a personalised workspace within Gemini. While the rollout timeline for this feature remains uncertain, it may initially be available only to enterprise customers.

In addition to the Projects feature, Google is developing Gemini 3, which is anticipated to be the company’s most powerful model to date and could pose significant competition to OpenAI. Recently, Google announced Genie 3, a product developed by Google DeepMind, the same team responsible for Gemini. Genie 3 allows users to simulate the real world, transforming text prompts into interactive, playable environments that can be navigated in real time. As noted by a Reddit user, individuals can even observe their own movements within a simulation created by Genie 3. Google claims that Genie 3 renders these environments at 720p and 24 frames per second, maintaining physical consistency for several minutes.
