Europol Announces $50,000 Reward for Information on Senior Qilin Hackers

The European Union’s law enforcement agency, Europol, has announced a reward of US$50,000 for information leading to the identification of two senior members of the Qilin ransomware group. Europol stated that ongoing international investigations have confirmed that the Qilin group has executed ransomware attacks globally, causing severe disruptions to critical infrastructure and significant financial losses. The agency shared this information through one of its Telegram channels, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

Europol has identified two primary administrators of the Qilin group, known by their aliases Haise and XORacle. These individuals are responsible for coordinating affiliates and overseeing extortion activities. The agency is actively pursuing all available leads in collaboration with international partners. The Qilin operation is believed to be based in Eastern Europe, with members observed communicating in Russian on various hacking forums. Since its emergence in August 2022, the group has claimed 678 victims.
