Enhance Your AI Capabilities with Oracle and Google Cloud’s Gemini Model Access
Oracle and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to provide Oracle customers with direct access to Google’s Gemini AI models through the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Generative AI service. This collaboration enables Oracle customers to leverage Gemini 2.5 and its upcoming model family for enterprise-grade applications, including advanced coding, workflow automation, and domain-specific solutions like MedLM for healthcare. The integration allows enterprises to utilise Gemini’s multimodal capabilities, facilitating applications that can manage text, code, and industry-specific tasks. Oracle plans further integrations with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, which will make the entire Gemini model suite—including video, image, speech, and music generation—accessible within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications across various departments such as finance, HR, supply chain, sales, service, and marketing. Additionally, Oracle customers will be able to deploy Gemini models using their existing Oracle Universal Credits, simplifying adoption and controlling costs.
The Gemini models are designed to deliver accuracy and performance for enterprise use cases, benefiting from their grounding in up-to-date Google Search data, large context windows, and robust data privacy features. These models can be employed for knowledge retrieval, productivity tools, advanced software development, and sector-specific solutions. Specialised industry models like MedLM for healthcare are anticipated for future integration. The presence of these models within existing Oracle platforms aims to streamline AI adoption across industries, assisting teams in tasks ranging from automating business processes to building AI-powered agents. With this expanded partnership, Oracle customers will enjoy greater flexibility and choice over the models they utilise. As future integrations are developed, customers will have the option to select from a range of Gemini models via Vertex AI, directly within Oracle’s cloud applications ecosystem.
