Cisco introduces enhanced AI observability features to improve digital insights for optimized SEO.
Cisco has announced significant enhancements to the Splunk Observability portfolio, introducing AI-powered features designed to provide broader visibility and actionable insights across digital operations. The integration of Cisco technologies with Splunk aims to improve visibility and data correlation across networks, infrastructure, and applications, thereby supporting organisations in enhancing reliability within their digital environments. The enhancements are centred around what Cisco refers to as an “agentic AI-powered, AI-native approach to observability.” This approach includes new capabilities such as AI Troubleshooting Agents, automated alert correlation, AI agent monitoring for Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents, as well as increased support for hybrid application monitoring. Patrick Lin, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Splunk Observability, emphasised the mission to empower organisations to effectively utilise AI applications while maintaining visibility and control.
The latest innovations in Splunk Observability are designed to enable enterprises to proactively monitor critical applications and digital services, resolve issues before they escalate, and ensure that the value derived from observability aligns with costs. Splunk’s observability approach leverages AI-driven agents that automate the collection of telemetry data, configure alerts, detect and diagnose incidents, and recommend solutions. This automation is intended to free IT operations (ITOps) and engineering teams to focus on other essential tasks. Key features include AI Troubleshooting Agents that analyse incidents and identify root causes, Event iQ for configuring alert correlations, and ITSI Episode Summarisation for summarising grouped alerts. Additionally, AI Agent Monitoring and AI Infrastructure Monitoring ensure the performance and cost efficiency of AI agents and infrastructure, while Session Replay for Real User Monitoring enhances end-user experience analysis. Enhanced integration between Splunk AppDynamics and Splunk Observability Cloud further supports application performance management across cloud-native environments.
