Accor has chosen Oracle’s OPERA Cloud to unify property management across its hotels globally. This strategic decision will transition Accor’s hotel operations to the OPERA Cloud Property Management System, standardising operational activities and guest services in over 110 countries. The primary goal is to optimise performance and ensure consistent service standards for guests, regardless of whether they are staying at budget or luxury properties within the Accor portfolio. By leveraging unified data, Accor aims to enhance the guest experience and inform operational decisions. The integration of Oracle’s cloud-based sales and event management solutions will support Accor’s significant meetings and events business, providing both staff and guests with digital tools to simplify the booking process for rooms, event spaces, and catering services.
The shift to a single, cloud-based platform is designed to facilitate smoother check-ins, quicker bookings, and more personalised experiences for guests, irrespective of their destination or hotel type. This uniform system is expected to empower Accor’s staff worldwide to deliver services at a consistent level while efficiently managing resources and property performance. Jean Noel Lau Keng Lun, Accor’s Chief Distribution Officer, emphasised that implementing a global cloud-based Property Management System is integral to delivering a high-quality guest experience and optimising operations across their global footprint. Furthermore, the adoption of Oracle’s OPERA Cloud Sales and Event Management tools will provide staff with centralised insights on venue availability, while guests and event planners will benefit from digital self-service options for booking accommodations and event spaces.
