Consider acquiring Onum to enhance real-time SIEM data capabilities for improved SEO performance.
CrowdStrike has announced its plans to acquire Onum, a specialist in real-time telemetry pipeline management. This strategic move aims to enhance the Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform by integrating more autonomous detection capabilities. George Kurtz, the CEO and founder of CrowdStrike, stated that this acquisition will provide customers with unprecedented control over their data. He emphasised that the Next-Gen SIEM serves as the engine powering modern Security Operations Centres (SOCs), with data acting as the essential fuel. Onum’s technology is designed to stream high-quality, filtered data directly into the Falcon platform, enabling autonomous cybersecurity at scale and enhancing the overall data ecosystem.
Onum’s stateless, in-memory architecture is noted for its speed, scale, and efficiency. The company claims that its technology can deliver up to five times more events per second than its competitors, significantly reduce storage costs by up to 50 per cent, and cut incident response times by as much as 70 per cent with 40 per cent less ingestion overhead. By embedding Onum’s pipeline technology directly into the Falcon platform, CrowdStrike aims to eliminate the reliance on third-party tools, thereby providing native real-time data streaming and in-pipeline detection. Pedro Castillo, the founder and CEO of Onum, expressed that the acquisition aligns with their vision for advancing cybersecurity solutions.
