Latest Information Security Products of the Week: August 22, 2025
In the past week, several innovative products were released, showcasing advancements from companies like StackHawk, Doppel, LastPass, and Druva. StackHawk introduced LLM-Driven OpenAPI Specifications, a groundbreaking feature that generates API documentation directly from source code. This capability allows StackHawk to analyse source code repositories, extract API details using proprietary LLMs, and automatically produce accurate OpenAPI specifications. Meanwhile, Doppel launched Simulation, a tool designed to combat social engineering attacks. Informed by real-world threats and powered by autonomous AI phishing agents, Simulation creates customised, hyper-realistic scenarios tailored to each organisation and employee role, enabling businesses to bolster their defences against such attacks.
LastPass announced its support for passkeys, providing users and businesses with a more secure login method across various devices, browsers, and operating systems. Users can now create, store, and manage passkeys directly within the LastPass vault, alongside their passwords, simplifying secure access. Additionally, Druva unveiled DruAI, which features intelligent agents built with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore on AWS. These DruAI Agents can interpret user intent, analyse data, and take meaningful actions, marking a significant shift from traditional query-based AI to more proactive, agentic systems. This innovation aims to enhance cyber resilience for enterprises, helping teams respond effectively to emerging threats.
