Accenture is set to acquire CyberCX, enhancing cybersecurity across the Asia Pacific region.

Accenture has announced its agreement to acquire CyberCX, a prominent cybersecurity services provider in the Asia Pacific region, aiming to enhance its capabilities and client service offerings in this critical sector. Founded in Melbourne in 2019, CyberCX employs around 1,400 cybersecurity professionals and serves both private and public sector clients across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including consulting, transformation, managed security, offensive security, cyber physical security, crisis management, threat intelligence, and managed detection and response. With advanced security operations centres in Australia and New Zealand, as well as offices in London and New York, CyberCX combines regional insights with global reach. Its portfolio features AI-powered security platforms, a sovereign secure cloud, a cybersecurity training academy, and proprietary tools for security testing and cyber intelligence.

This acquisition marks Accenture’s largest move in the cybersecurity space to date and is expected to significantly expand its service footprint in the Asia Pacific region, bolstering business resilience and the protection of critical infrastructure. Recent research from Accenture, the State of Cybersecurity Resilience 2025 report, revealed that 97% of Australian organisations are unprepared to secure their AI-driven operations, with 80% lacking essential data and AI cybersecurity practices. Paolo Dal Cin, Global Lead at Accenture Cybersecurity, emphasised the shared mission of both companies to leverage cybersecurity for business transformation and resilience. By integrating Accenture’s advanced AI capabilities with CyberCX’s market leadership and trusted relationships, they aim to turn cybersecurity into a strategic advantage for clients across the region. CyberCX’s partnerships with major cybersecurity firms, including Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike, further enhance its reputation, supported by over 2,600 certifications that reflect its expertise across various service areas.
