CrowdStrike Launches Falcon to Safeguard All Types of Digital Identities
CrowdStrike has launched Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security, a comprehensive solution aimed at securing all types of identities, including human, non-human, and AI agents, within hybrid IT environments. According to CrowdStrike’s 2025 Threat Hunting Report, identity has emerged as the fastest-growing attack vector, with 81% of interactive intrusions occurring without malware. Attackers are increasingly leveraging valid credentials stolen from human users, service accounts, and AI agents to navigate through endpoints, cloud services, and SaaS applications undetected. The Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security solution integrates various controls, such as initial access prevention, modern Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), SaaS identity security, and agentic AI protection into a single platform. This unified approach aims to mitigate the risks and inefficiencies associated with relying on multiple standalone tools.
Mike Sentonas, President at CrowdStrike, emphasises the urgent need for trusted identity security, stating that organisations require modern solutions without the delays of months or years. The Falcon platform is designed to manage the complexities of dynamic and unpredictable access across users, machines, and AI agents operating in real time within hybrid environments. It provides the necessary speed, scale, and precision to combat modern identity attacks. The platform functions across all identity types throughout their full lifecycle in both on-premises and cloud settings, addressing blind spots and reducing the complexity often caused by piecemeal solutions. With a single lightweight sensor and a unified management console, Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security offers continuous protection against the expanding attack surface, which now includes non-human identities like machine service accounts and autonomous AI agents.
